Stricter emission regulations and higher demands for fuel economy have driven all the major manufactures to develop their own 4 stroke technology. Their focus has been on top speed performance, but in many cases this has meant a sacrifice in reliability and fuel economy. High speed isn't the most important factor because you can't catch fish at 70mph. I have seen to many times people running all over the lake while they could be fishing.
More and more people are realizing that there is more value in choosing a motor that has a reputation for quality. With Honda you will receive more value by reducing maintenance costs and increasing engine life. I want a motor that will keep me on the water and money in my pocket.
Honda Marine were the first company to offer a full line of 4 stroke engines. For over 40 years Honda has been inspired by their legendary automotive technology to manufacture only 4 stroke marine engines since 1964.
Exclusive Honda Technology
You won't find these features in anything but a Honda.VTEC® TECHNOLOGY
Smooth acceleration and power.Honda's Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC®) system gives you a broader, flatter, torque curve and smooth power delivery throughout the engine's operating range. It means outstanding performance without sacrificing fuel economy.
DUAL-STAGE INDUCTION
Breathing easier improves performance.Honda's unique variable intake system maximizes combustion efficiency for increased torque. The plenum chamber with twin butterfly valves varies the volume and velocity of airflow, which means a simple, compact design that enhances both low-speed drivability and high-speed performance.

For the hardcore anglers Carey and Andrew did what they do best and that's talk fishing. People admired the new design on Carey's boat featuring his new sponsorship with Everstart.

Johnson Controls Battery Presentation

To end 2010 with a bang we hosted the last Downtown Bass Club meeting of the year on December 13. Carey worked very closely with club president Chris Chappell to bring in special guest speaker Ed Danyluk to share his knowledge on battery design and maintenance. We learnt that the most important specification to look for in a battery is the amp hours. By knowing how many amps your depth finder draws an hour you can calculate how many hours your battery will last. The members were very engaged with lots of questions. It is an area that needs to be discussed and Ed is the man with over 35 years of experience in the industry.
That night was full of prizes thanks to the generosity of all Carey's sponsors. Angler of the year was awarded that night to the highly respected Jay Martin. He received a the coveted club trophy and prizes from Optima Batteries, Ardent Reels and Dickies Work Wear. Raffle prizes were also donated by St. Croix rods.
